Cara was inducted in 2015 for oustanding swimming. Upon graduation, Cara was a varsity swimmer for three years after transferring into PHS. She qualified for metros each of her four years with wins in 200 IM and 100 Back several times over. She received Swimmer of the Meet her Senior Year. She broke the MCPS County and Metro Record in the 100 back. When she graduated, she held almost every record except for diving, breaststroke, and 100 fly (which was still owned by her sister). Now she only three records left to her name. Cara qualified as an All American her junior and senior years and went on to swim at the University of Illinois for 4 years.
Inducted in 2017 for outstanding swimming. Upon graduation, Kirk was a varsity swimmer all four years, qualifying for metros each of his years. He was voted a Team Captain and even won the illustrious "Mr. Poolesville" Contest his Senior year. He broke the MCPS County and Metro Record in the 200 Freestyle with a time of 1:40.55 which still ranks among the Top Ten times swum in MCPS history for that event. When he graduated, he held every single team record except for diving. Now he only has the 200 free left to his name. He qualified as an All American his senior year and went on to swim for the University of Maryland for two years until their program closed.
Inducted in 2017 for outstanding coaching. He has been honored with All Gazette Coach of the Year - 2012, Washington Post All Met Coach of the Year - 2014, NFHS MPSSAA Coach of the Year 2020 and 2025. To current date has led Poolesville to 19 State Championships and is hoping for more.
